TRUMAN — Mildred Dorsett Mallery died Monday, July 1, 2019, after a short stay at Laurel’s Peak in Mankato, Minn., with Bev at her side.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, 2019, at Zaharia Family Funeral Home in Truman, with Penny Ritter officiating.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be prior to the service in Nashville Cemetery, rural Truman.

Arrangements are entrusted to Zaharia Family Funeral Home in Truman.

Mildred Olive Dorsett was born Dec. 12, 1925, in Ortley, S.D., to Sherman and Mamie (Narem) Dorsett.

Mildred is survived by her daughters, Jan (Richard) Pettersen of Carmel, Ind., and Bev Johnson of Lake Crystal, Minn.; grandsons, Aaron (Jennifer) Pettersen and Nathan Pettersen; great-grandchildren, Isaac, Sara, Luke and John David; brothers, Maurice Dorsett and David (Marilyn) Dorsett.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 49 years, Sylvester (1995); daughter, Julaine (2018); and sister, Inez Halby (2019).
