ST. JAMES — A Celebration of Life service for Lois E. Heckman, 89, of rural St. James will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at St. John’s Lutheran Church, South Branch, in rural St. James. Burial will be in the St. John’s Lutheran Church cemetery.

Heckman died Tuesday afternoon, June 4, 2019, at Good Samaritan Society-Pleasant View in St. James. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Friday at the church.

Kramer Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Lois Elaine Grupe was born Sept. 2, 1929, in Estherville, Iowa, to Louis and Hattie (Davis) Grupe.

Survivors include: her sons, David Heckman of Indianapolis, Ind., and Leroy Heckman of Austin, Texas.
