BLUE EARTH — A celebration of life for Thomas “Tom” Duane Gerberding, 72, of Blue Earth will be 5-7 p.m. Friday at Patton Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Blue Earth.

Gerberding died Tuesday, May 14, 2019, at his home in Blue Earth.

Patton Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Blue Earth is in charge of arrangements.

Tom was born May 22, 1946, in Blue Earth, the son of Henry and Lucille (Mino) Gerberding. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1965-1969 and was honorably discharged.

Survivors include: his children, Tammie Gerberding of Sparks, Nev., Tabitha Gerberding of Sparks, Nev., Thomas Gerberding of Hollister, Calif.; mother, Lucille Gerberding of Blue Earth; stepdaughter, Shannon Moynahan-Ponkey of Los Gatos, Calif.; stepson, Jeffrey

Brendecke of Germany; five grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; brothers, Ronald Gerberding of Park Rapids, Robert Gerberding of Corpus Christi, Texas; sisters, Kathryn Haase of Mesa, Ariz., and Debra Tagatz of Woodbury.
