TRACY — Funeral services for Luann Pugsley Armitage, 63, of Tracy, Minn., formerly of Fairmont, Minn., will be held 11 a.m. Friday, May 3, 2019, at Grace Lutheran Church in Fairmont. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Fairmont.

Luann passed away Saturday morning, April 27, 2019, at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester, Minn. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday, May 2, 2019, at Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont, and one hour prior to services Friday at the church.

Lakeview Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Fairmont is assisting the family with arrangements.

Luann Mary Armitage was born Nov. 26, 1955, in Fairmont, Minn., to Ervin “Dutch” and Mary (Niemann) Rahmeyer. She graduated from Truman High School.

On Aug. 24, 1974, Luann was united in marriage to Greg Pugsley at Grace Lutheran Church, Fairmont. This marriage was blessed with two children, Bethany and Gabriel. They made their home in Fairmont. Greg passed away April 14, 1996.

Luann was united in marriage to Kerwin Armitage on June 28, 1998, at Grace Lutheran Church in Fairmont. They made their home in Truman, Minn., and, in 2013, moved to Tracy, Minn.

Luann taught preschool at Grace Lutheran Church for a short time and kept busy as a mom and homemaker. After her marriage to Kerwin, Luann worked as his secretary for Electronic Service, his business in Truman.

She was an active member of Grace Lutheran Church, where she taught Sunday school. She was also involved with Compassionate Friends.

Luann enjoyed crocheting, motorcycling, bicycling (tandem bike), canoeing, flower gardening, Facebooking, movies, crafts and watching her grandchildren’s sports and activities. Luann will be remembered for her gentleness and kindness.

Through her whole life, she battled a heart and lung disease and has gone through many hard times, but she always showed strength in getting through everything. Her faith in God was so important to her. A big joy in her life recently has been her companion therapy dog, Dolly Ann.

Luann is survived by her husband, Kerwin Armitage of Tracy, Minn.; daughter, Bethany (Josh) Schafer of Hanley Falls, Minn.; stepdaughters, Jessica Armitage of Brandon, S.D., Katie Armitage of Fairmont, Minn.; stepson, Rocky (Robin) Armitage of Fairmont; 12 grandchildren; brothers, Rick (Goldie) Rahmeyer of Lake Crystal, Minn., Jerry Rahmeyer of Roseville, Minn.; brother-in-law, Tom (Karen) Pugsley of Berryville, Va.; many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ervin “Dutch” and Mary Rahmeyer; first husband, Greg Pugsley; son, Gabriel Pugsley; father and mother-in-law, Ralph and Anna Armitage and Clayton and Eva Pugsley.
