HURON, S.D. — A funeral service for Gerald Peterson, 85, of Huron, S.D., will be 10 a.m. Friday at American Lutheran Church in Huron. Burial, with military honors by Huron Veterans Council, will follow at Riverside Cemetery.

Peterson died Sunday, April 28, 2019, at Regional Health Hospital in Rapid City, S.D. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday at American Lutheran Church, with a prayer service to begin 6:30 p.m. Visitation also will be held one hour prior to the service Friday at the church.

Welter Funeral Home of Huron is assisting the family with arrangements.

Survivors include his daughter Julie Clarey of Fairmont.
