APACHE JUNCTION, Ariz. — Paul H. Wiechmann, 88, of Apache Junction, Ariz., formerly of Swea City, Iowa, passed away Monday, April 1, 2019, at his home in Apache Junction. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Paul Henry William Wiechmann was born July 23, 1930, in rural Fairmont, Minn., son of Henry and Wilhelmine (Bruns) Wiechmann.

He was united in marriage to Dorothy Jean “Pat” Patterson and the couple was blessed with two sons: Allen and Arlyn.

Paul farmed for many years in the Swea City, Iowa and East Chain, Minn., areas until 1978, when he and Dorothy moved to Apache Junction, Ariz.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Wiechmann; sons, Allen (Teresa) Wiechmann, Arlyn (Jane) Wiechmann; nine grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
