SHERBURN — A Celebration of Life service for Robert “Bob” Whitehead, 75, of Sherburn will be 2 p.m. Saturday at First Congregational Church in Sherburn. Burial, with military honors by Thomas P. Saxton American Legion Post 356 and Sherburn Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8261, will be held in the Sherburn Cemetery.

Whitehead died peacefully Monday afternoon, June 25, 2018, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Fairmont. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Friday at Kramer Family Funeral Home in Sherburn, and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church.

Kramer Family Funeral Home of Sherburn is assisting the family with arrangements.

Robert Kenneth Whitehead was born Nov. 18, 1942, in Sherburn to Maxwell and Elva (Trowbridge) Whitehead. He served in the U.S. Army from 1960-1963.

Survivors include: his wife, Susanne “Sue” Whitehead of Sherburn; children, Sarah Kramer of Sherburn, Thomas Whitehead of Slayton, Shawna Murray of Spirit Lake, Iowa, Patrick Rolf of McIntosh; 14 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great- granddaughter; and sister, Dorothy Bourquin of Byron.
