FAIRMONT — Mass of Christian Burial for Julia M. Coyle, age 96, of Fairmont, Minn., will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 4, 2018, at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Fairmont.

Julia passed away Monday morning, April 30, 2018, at Lakeview Methodist Health Care Center in Fairmont. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday, May 3, 2018, at Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont, with a rosary 6:45 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Burial will be in Holy Family Catholic Cemetery, East Chain.

Lakeview Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Fairmont is assisting the family with arrangements.

Julia Margaret Nowak was born June 4, 1921, in Guckeen, Minn., to Boleslaus and Agnes (Wirth) Nowak. Growing up, she attended school in Guckeen. At a young age, Julia began working and was employed at Green Giant in Blue Earth.

On June 5, 1948, Julia was united in marriage to Dallas Coyle at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Guckeen. This union was blessed with one daughter, Charlotte. The family made their home together in Fairmont.

Julia worked various other jobs throughout her life, including Fairmont Canning Company, City Food Market, Cole’s Northside Store and Belinas Grocery Store.

She was an active member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church, St. Gerald’s Circle, the Lee C. Prentice American Legion Post 36 Auxiliary, the Martin County VFW Post 1222 Auxiliary, the Minnesota Historical Society and was a board member of Heritage Acres.

In her spare time, Julia enjoyed being outdoors working in her garden and attending flea markets. She also liked to play BINGO and complete word searches.

Those left to cherish her memory include: her daughter, Charlotte Zschetzsche and her husband, John of Mountain Lake, Minn.; grandchildren, Andrew, Kevin and Brian; brother, Frank Nowak of Fairmont; other extended family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Julia was preceded in death by her husband, Dallas; four brothers: Joseph Nowak, Paul Nowak, Phillip Nowak, and John Nowak; and five sisters: Florence Pierce, Mary Deinhart, Clara Pettit, Hedwig Nowak and Agnes Sundermeyer.
