DUNNELL — A Celebration of Life service for Richard “Dick” M. Hall, 88, of Dunnell, will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Assembly of God Regional Worship Center in Sherburn. Burial, with military honors by Thomas P. Saxton American Legion Post 356 of Sherburn and the Sherburn Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8261, will be in Lake Fremont Cemetery, rural Dunnell.

Hall died Wednesday morning, Jan. 31, 2018, at the Windom Area Hospital in Windom. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. tonight at Sherburn Assembly of God Regional Worship Center in Sherburn, and one hour prior to the service Saturday, also at the church.

Kramer Family Funeral Home of Sherburn is in charge of arrangements.

Richard Martin Hall was born Nov. 8, 1929, on a farm in Lake Fremont Township, rural Dunnell to Axel “Mac” and Irene (Anderson) Hall. He enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in 1946. He later served in the Korean War and in Vietnam, and was honorably discharged.

Survivors include: his son, Richard II, of Emmetsburg, Iowa; two grandsons; sister, Jane Jacobsen of Sherburn; brother, David Hall of Kansas City, Mo.; and sisters-in-law, Kathryn “Katie” Haywood of Estherville, Iowa and Linda Klein of Dunnell.
