WINNEBAGO — Carlyle W. Perry, 84 years old, of Winnebago, Minn., passed away Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2017, peacefully at home surrounded by family.

Carlyle was born Sept. 7, 1933, at home in Faribault County to Carl and Emma (Blome) Perry. He grew up farming with his father and siblings in Blue Earth, Minn.

He married Mary Jean Jones on April 20, 1953.

Carlyle spent 32 years with the Mankato International Union of Painters and Allied Trades.

He enjoyed raising horses, dogs and pigeons. He was an avid outdoorsman and gardener.

Carlyle is survived by his wife of 64 years, Mary Jean Perry; sons Paul (wife Debra) Perry of Pine Island, Minn., and Phillip (wife Pat) Perry of Glencoe, Minn.; daughters Mary Carol (husband Allen) Theuer of Amery, Wis., and Marlys Cattrysse (fiancé Jim Blum) of Spirit Lake, Iowa; 9 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and his sister Audrey Larson of California.

Celebration of life service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 16, 2017, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Winnebago, Minn.
