FAIRMONT — A memorial service for Nancy (Bowman) Hasse, 82, of Fairmont, formerly of LaPorte, Ind., will be 4 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 14, 2017, at Lakeview Methodist Health Care Center Chapel in Fairmont. Burial will be held at a later date in Fort Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, Mich.

Nancy passed away Monday morning, Dec. 11, 2017, at Lakeview Methodist Health Care Center in Fairmont.

Lakeview Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Fairmont is assisting the family with arrangements.

Nancy Mae (Bowman) Hasse was born Jan. 27, 1935, in LaPorte, Ind., to Orville and Mary (Klassen) Bowman. She received her education from LaPorte High School.

On May 5, 1973, she was united in marriage to Russell Hasse in LaPorte, Ind. They made their home in LaPorte, where Nancy worked as a sales clerk for Carson Pirie Scott until retiring in April of 2013. She then moved to Fairmont, Minn., to be near her son.

Nancy was a member of Bethel Evangelical Free Church in Fairmont, Women’s Auxiliary, AMVETS and LaPorte Christian Church. She enjoyed spending time with friends.

Left to cherish her memory are her two children, Pat (Fleming) Graham and her husband, Dean, of LaPorte, Ind.; and Jim Fleming and his wife, ToniLynn, of Fairmont; adopted daughter, Sherry Walker and her husband, Stovall, of Augusta, Ga.; four grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Richard, Norma and Wayne; husband, Russell Hasse; and grandson, Samuel Fleming.
