Larry ‘Lem’ Miller

FAIRMONT — Mass of Christian Burial for Larry “Lem” Miller, 70, of Fairmont, will be 11 a.m. Friday at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Fairmont. Burial, with full military honors by the Lee C. Prentice American Legion Post #36 and the Martin County Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #1222, will follow the service in Fairview Memorial Park Cemetery, Fairmont.

Miller died Monday morning, Aug. 21, 2017, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont, and one hour prior to the service Friday at the church. Lakeview Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Fairmont is assisting the family with arrangements.

Larry Eugene “Lem” Miller was born June 17, 1947, in Fairmont, Minn., the son of Harold and Helen (Schmidt) Miller. He was drafted into the U.S. Army where he served his country proudly during the Vietnam War, and received his honorable discharge on Nov. 21, 1968.

Survivors include: his children, Brian Miller of Fairmont, and Jennifer Miller of Minneapolis; five grandchildren; sisters, Carolyn Wagner of Huntley, Mary Miller of Truman; brothers, Jerome Miller of Fairmont, Phil Miller of Truman, Jim Miller of Fairmont; and brother-in-law, Harley Blackstad.
