Beverly Worshek

FAIRMONT — A Celebration of Life for Beverly A. Wille Worshek, of Fairmont, Minn., will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2017, at Grace Lutheran Church in Fairmont. Burial will follow the service in Lakeside Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 29, at Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont, and one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the church.

Beverly passed away Friday afternoon, Aug. 25, 2017, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, Minn. Lakeview Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Fairmont is assisting the family with arrangements.

Beverly Ann (Nygaard) Wille Worshek was born June 24, 1938, in Underwood, Minn., the daughter of Elmer and Ella (Pederson) Nygaard. Following the death of her mother, Bev was raised by her uncle and aunt, Marion and Sadie (Knutson) Pederson. She began her education in Underwood, Minn., and later attended West Central School of Agriculture in Morris, Minn., graduating in 1956. Upon graduation, Bev attended Charles T. Miller School of Practical Nursing in St. Paul. Bev graduated in 1958 with a LPN degree. On Feb. 22, 1958, Bev was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart, James Wille, at Tingvold Lutheran Church in rural Underwood, Minn. To this union, four children were born, Debbie, Judy, Russ and Kathy. After just 20 years of marriage, Jim passed away on May 10, 1978. On Oct. 18, 1980, Bev was united in marriage to George Worshek of rural Jackson, Minn. The couple made their home on the Worshek Century Family farm in Jackson.

Bev worked for numerous hospitals throughout the state of Minnesota. After her move to Jackson, Bev was instrumental in starting the Sanford Jackson Clinic where she worked for over 18 years, retiring in 2005. Bev was very active in numerous organizations. Bev was a leader in both the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, a Sunday School teacher, while also volunteering for the Red Cross Bloodmobile. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Debbie Foster, Judy (Tory) Gustafson, Rosten Wille, Kathy (Jarrod) Vagle; grandchildren, Amber (Ethan) Smith, Jenny Guldan, Katie (Jeremy) Helmers, Jacqueline Wille, James Wille, Carly Jablinske, Michael Wille; great-grandchildren, Matt and Gracie Ruda and Dravyn and Bram Helmers; stepchildren, Barb (Erv) Wickham, Jim (Connie) Worshek, Don Worshek, Bob Worshek, Nancy Worshek, Mark Worshek, Brad Worshek; 12 step-grandchildren; 20 step-great-grandchildren; brother, Lloyd (Connie) Nygaard; brothers-in-law, Don (Jeri) Wille and Harold Ellingson, as well as extended family and friends. Bev was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Ella Nygaard and Marion and Sadie Pederson; husbands, James Wille and George Worshek; son-in-law, Mike Foster; granddaughters, Jamie Foster and Angie Foster-Brewer; sister, Naomi (Pederson) Ellingson.
