WELCOME — Today the public is invited to say farewell to Pastor Wilson from St. John’s Lutheran Church in Sherburn at an event at the Fox Lake Event Center north of Sherburn from 5-8 p.m. Come and have cupcakes and coffee and wish Pastor Steve and Bonnie a happy retirement. A special congregational service will be held on November 23, his last service date, for the two congregations of St. John’s and St. Paul’s in Wilbert. This will be held at 9 a.m. at a joint service in Sherburn.

The Cribbage Tournament will begin with registration at 1:15 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 15 at the Welcome Legion Hall. All area cribbage players are welcome.

The Welcome Legion Auxiliary will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 17 at the Welcome Legion Hall. All members are encouraged to attend. Thank you to all who participated in the Veterans Day event.

The Welcome City Council will have their meeting at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 18 at the City Hall. All members are urged to attend. The CREST Lunch and Learn program will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 19 at the First Lutheran Church in Trimont. These programs are free for senior citizens in Martin County. CREST appreciates a free-will donation for the provided lunch.

The American Red Cross Blood drives will be held on Nov. 25 and 26 at the Best Western in Fairmont, Dec. 1 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Fairmont and at the Regional Worship Center in Sherburn. The Lake Promenaders Square Dance group will have a special gathering in Sioux Falls on November 23.

November 30 there will be a Santa Workshop from 1-4 p.m. at the Sinn CLC in Sherburn.

On December 4 there will be a Ham Bingo at the Sinn CLC in Trimont at 6:30 p.m.

On December 14 there will be a Santa Day at the Welcome Legion from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.
