CEYLON – Next Wednesday will be December 1st already. Did you take advantage of the nice weather in November and decorate your house for Christmas? City of Ceylon is sponsoring a Christmas decorating contest again this year with a prize that could reduce your utility bill. Let the city clerk know if you would like to be considered for the contest.

Tomorrow is the first Sunday of Advent. Remember the reason for the season, Christ’s birth.

The ladies group at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Wilbert will have their usual Christmas social this year. Area ladies are welcome to join them for a short program at 1:30 p.m. on Dec. 9. They will also have lunch and craft and bake sale tables full of good ideas for

Christmas. This will be a fundraiser for their mission projects. They are happy to be able to invite area ladies this year.
