WELCOME — Saturday will be May 1st. Hope you have a great May Day. Does anyone do May baskets anymore? They were always fun.

There will be a Lutheran Women’s Missionary League spring rally Saturday at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Sherburn. The speaker will be from Camp Omega near Waterville. Gifts from the heart will be donations toward the purchase of a mini van. Registration begins at 9 a.m. and the rally will kick off around 9:30 a.m. COVID protocols will be used. All area LWML members are encouraged to attend.

Welcome City Council will meet 6 p.m. Tuesday at Welcome City Hall. COVID protocols will be followed. There is always a time for public comments and questions at the beginning of each meeting. No reservations are required. If anyone wants to be on the regular agenda, please contact the city clerk prior to the meeting at (507) 728-8740.

Condolences to the families of Steven Craig and Jeremy Nelson, former residents of Welcome, who passed away. They will be missed.
