WELCOME — Saturday is the first day of spring. Hopefully we are done with the snow now.

The last midweek Lenten service will be held 6:30 p.m. Wednesday

at Trinity Lutheran Church in Welcome. Next week will begin Holy Week on Palm Sunday and ending with Easter on April 4. All area residents are welcome to join the Circle of Faith parishes on Wednesday.

Don’t forget to send your donations to the Welcome Fire Department Relief Association at Box 373, Welcome, MN 56181.

Since this last Wednesday was St. Patrick’s Day, I found an Irish blessing for you all. May there always be work for your hands to do.

May your purse always hold a coin or two. May the sun always shine on your windowpane. May a rainbow be certain to follow each rain.

May the hand of a friend always be near you. May God fill your heart with gladness to cheer you.
