CEYLON — Pastor Reimers and family will host an open house from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday in the basement at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Wilbert. This will be their Christmas thank you to their dual congregations and friends.

Ceylon City Council will meet 6 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall.

Ceylon Legion and Sons of the Legion will meet 7 p.m. Tuesday at Legends 2 in Ceylon. All members are encouraged to attend.

Our Savior’s Lutheran Church would like to invite area residents to join them for an Advent service 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Cookies will be served after the service.

Our Savior’s also will have its usual Saturday evening service at 5:30 p.m.

The ladies at St. Paul’s Lutheran in Wilbert will have their Christmas party at 1:30 p.m. Thursday. All ladies from the dual parishes at Our Savior’s and Wilbert and any area ladies are invited to join them.

Friendly Neighbor Card Club will meet for its special potluck meal Christmas party and cards at noon Friday at the home of Jeanine Rasmussen in Dolliver. All members are urged to attend.

There will be a cribbage tournament beginning 1:30 p.m. Dec. 14 at Legends 2 in Ceylon. Area residents are invited to join them for an afternoon of fun and fellowship.

Upcoming events include a special Christmas event for area children and adults from 2-5 p.m. Dec. 21 in the banquet room at Legends 2 in Ceylon.
