Truman homecoming pep fest, parade slated
TRUMAN — The homecoming pep fest is scheduled for 2 p.m. Sept. 27 at the Truman High School gymnasium.
The homecoming parade will be held that day at 4 p.m. in Granada, with the football game at 7 p.m.

Truman Lions Club burger bash is back. You can enjoy a delicious burger, chips, beans and beverage from 5-7 p.m. Saturday at the Truman Community Building. Take-outs are available.

Pastor Nathan Rusert will give his last Divine Service at 9 a.m. Sunday at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church. Beginning at noon, a farewell potluck dinner will be held for Pastor Rusert and Lori. They will be moving to Tell City, Indiana, where Pastor Rusert has accepted a call to the Emmanuel Evangelical Church.

Truman High School class of 1959 will meet to celebrate its 60th anniversary of graduation at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday in the club house at Rose Lake Golf Course, rural Fairmont.

If you are in kindergarten through fifth grade and would like to learn skills in the kitchen, you must register by Sept. 26. The friends from Hy-Vee will show you how from 3:15-4:15 p.m. Oct. 1 in the home ec room at Truman School. The cost is $7.
