Blood drive slated Sept. 19

CEYLON — There will be a Poppe family reunion beginning noon Sunday at Mondale Park in Ceylon. Please bring your own plates and eating utensils and a dish to pass. Beverages will be provided. All family members are urged to attend.

Sunday is the first of September which means Circle of Faith parishes will return to their usual services times.

St. Peter Lutheran Church in Ceylon will hold 8:30 a.m. services while Waverly and Trinity congregations in Welcome will begin their service at 10:30 a.m.

Our Savior’s Lutheran in Ceylon will have its usual 5:30 p.m. service tonight, while the dual parish of St. Paul’s Lutheran at Wilbert will have its usual 9:30 a.m. Sunday service.

All area residents are invited to join these congregations for services.

Tuesday morning coffee hours for September will be 8:30-10 a.m. at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Welcome.

Also, a coffee lovers group meets each Thursday at Legends 2 in Ceylon.

Join friends and neighbors for great brew and good fellowship.

Our Savior’s Lutheran Church will have Bible classes 9:30 a.m. each Tuesday beginning Sept. 3. Area residents are welcome.

Condolences to the family of Wilma Vigdal, a former Ceylon resident. Some may remember her from Dr. Krosch’s office. She will be missed.

Upcoming events include a Red Cross blood drive in Ceylon from 1-6 p.m. Sept. 19 in the banquet room at Legends 2 in Ceylon.

Also, there will be blood drives Sept. 10-12 at the Fairmont Holiday Inn, Sept. 16 at St. John Vianney Church in Fairmont and on Sept. 18 at Cutting Edge Fitness in Fairmont.
