Swimming lessons available evenings in Truman

TRUMAN — A come-and-go bridal shower for Kristi Oberdieck will be held 9:30-11:20 a.m. Saturday in the fireside room at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Truman.

Truman City Council will meet 5:30 p.m. Monday at City Hall. These meetings are open to the public and include a time for public comment.

Truman Public Utilities will meet 5:30 p.m. Tuesday. These meetings are open to the public.

An evening session of swimming lessons will be held 5:30-6:30 p.m. Monday thru Friday. The cost is $35 per child.

St. Paul’s Lutheran Church bible school is from 6-8 p.m. Monday to Thursday. All children, age 4 through fifth grade, are welcome to attend.

Wednesday is recycling day. Please place containers curbside by 7 a.m. with all cardboard broken down.

Wednesday Second Harvest Heartland/NAPS will be available to eligible seniors 60 years and up. NAPS provides a 30-35 pound box of food that is low in salt and sugar content.

To pick up your box, come between 9:30 and 10:30 a.m. to Trinity Lutheran Church in Truman. Pre-register at (800) 365-0270.
