Welcome Museum to be open Saturday

WELCOME — Hope you and yours had a wonderful Independence Day holiday.

Welcome Museum will be open 2-4 p.m. Saturday. Come check out all the interesting items at the museum on Hulseman Street.

If anyone would like to visit the museum when it is not scheduled to be open, they may contact Marsha Williams at (507) 236-2034.

Tuesday coffee hours for the month of July continue beginning 8:30 a.m. at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Ceylon. Join friends and neighbors there.

St. Peter Lutheran Church is the place for the Circle of Faith parishes to meet during the month of July for their 6:30 p.m. Wednesday evening summer services.

Waverly and Trinity congregations in Welcome will hold Sunday services at 8:30 a.m.

Summer hunger program free lunches are held 12:15-12:45 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays at Central Park in Welcome until the last week in August. These are for anyone who needs it, especially children who are not in school now. The meal is usually a sandwich, water, and a cookie or fruit.

Kinship is sponsoring the program. If anyone would like to volunteer to help, they may contact Sarah Caballero at Kinship by calling (507) 238-4440.

There will be a Red Cross blood drive at from 12-6 p.m. Tuesday at St. Paul United Church of Christ in Welcome. To make an appointment or for more information, contact the Red Cross at www.redcrossblood.org, call (800) 733-2767 or text BLOODAPP to 90999. Give the gift of life and give blood.

o Welcome Summer Festival July 19-21.

o Vacation Bible School for children age 3 through sixth grade at 6:30-8 p.m. July 28 through Aug. 1 at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Welcome.
