Fun Daze this weekend
TRUMAN — Come to the Lewisville Fun Daze this Saturday.
A pancake breakfast sponsored by the Lewisville Ambulance will be held 7 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Lewisville Legion.
The grand parade begins at 12:30 p.m., followed by carriage/pony cart rides, a bean bag tournament, pedal pull, kids cake decorating contest, a coin dig, bicycle drawing for kids ages newborn to 14, a steak fry at the Lewisville Legion and, from 8 p.m. to midnight, Sandra Lee & The Velvets will provide musical entertainment.
Also, there will be free ice cream in memory of Thad Firchau with time/location to be determined.

A benefit for Breck Remus, 9-month-old daughter of Ashley (Schultz) and Justin Remus, will be 4-7 p.m. Saturday at the Truman Community Building.
There will be a chicken and biscuit dinner, a wine wall and a silent auction.
Breck was born at 37 weeks weighing just 3 pounds, 4 ounces. She spent a considerable amount of time hospitalized and numerous on-going doctor appointments.
If you are unable to attend, a donation account has been set up at Profinium.

Truman City Council will meet 5:30 p.m. Monday at City Hall. All meetings are open to the public.

Wednesday is recycling day. Please place your recycling containers curbside by 7 a.m.

Truman Public Library is having a Wild Things Zoo 3:30 p.m. Wednesday. This is a free event and will be held at the Truman Community Building. If you have any questions, contact Theresa at (507) 776-2717.

Stagemasters will present their summer play “101 Dalmatians” by children in grades 3-8. Performances will be 7 p.m. June 21 and 1 p.m. June 22. You will not want to miss this play.

There will be a bridal shower for Shelby Quinn, bride-to-be of Tanner Weihe, from 10 a.m. to noon June 22 at St. James Lutheran Church in Northrop.
Tanner is the son of Tim and Karen Weihe.
