Lewisville gets ready to host its ‘Fun Daze’

TRUMAN — Trinity Lutheran Church will host a “Quilters and Crafters Dream Sale” from noon to 6 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the church, 102 S. Seventh Ave. E., in Truman.

Prairie Ecology Bus Center will hold a space day camp for kids, kindergarten through third grade, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 17 at Truman Public School.

Registration and payment is due Monday. The cost is $15 per child. Students will need to bring their own lunch, although snacks will be provided.

Children will learn the stories behind the constellations of the night sky inside the inflatable planetarium and how to find them.

Truman Active Living meets 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Truman Museum. Any interested area resident who would like to see our community continue to provide and improve our facilities is welcome to attend. They welcome your input.

Lewisville Fun Daze is June 15. An ambulance pancake breakfast will be held 7 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., followed by the grand parade at 12:30 p.m., a bean bag tournament at 2:30 p.m. and a steak fry from 5-7 p.m.

Ending the celebration will be musical entertainment by Sandra Lee and The Velvets from 8 p.m. to midnight.

Throughout the day there will be pedal pull, coin dig, flea market, craft and home business vendors and free ice cream in memory of Thad Firchau.

In upcoming events, a salad luncheon will be held June 26 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Truman.
