o Should the district consider adding gym space at the high school?

Sherburn’s junk cleanup day this year will be May 11.

It was decided by the City Council that residents will have a week to “repurpose” items by leaving them on their curb for pickup by anyone who would like to take any of these items.

This will begin May 4 and run through next week. May 11 will then be the junk cleanup day for everything that was not claimed for repurposing. Items can be picked up on your curb. However, there will be a $20 charge for curbside pickup, and the number of items picked up cannot be more than would fit in the back of a pickup truck or you will need to purchase additional tags. Tags for curbside pickup will need to be purchased at City Hall before 4 p.m. May 9.

If you want to haul the items yourself to the dropoff site behind City Hall (as has been done in the past), there will be no charge. Hours at the dropoff site will be 8-11 a.m. May 11.
