Police: Link found to break-in at Edie’s
FAIRMONT — Fairmont police say they have arrested two 14-year-old juveniles in connection with a burglary at Edie’s Restaurant downtown on April 14.
Both have been charged with third-degree burglary, according to Police Chief Michael Hunter.
He noted that the arrests stem from a police investigation into 15 instances of graffiti vandalism that occurred in Fairmont this past weekend.
Police had been called to Edie’s on First Street at 6:23 a.m. April 14 after an employee reported the break-in. An undisclosed amount of cash and property was stolen.
Edie’s closed for a day after the incident, then quickly reopened.
