Street work ready to begin

WELCOME — There will be a turkey dinner 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Welcome. There is a charge with a reduced rate for children ages 6-12. Children 5 and younger eat for free.

The fundraiser is for stained glass window repair.

The public is welcome.

Fire hydrants in Welcome will be flushed this week and next.

The city also reminds residents that 2019 street repairs are beginning, especially on the east side of town. Max Longley says: “Be aware of daily changes, exercise caution, be aware of rock piles, equipment, supplies, and especially workers.”

Condolences to the Pat Koenecke family. Residents may remember Pat as a worker at the Casey’s convenience store. She will be missed.

Tuesday coffee hours for April continue one more week from 8:30-10 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Trimont. In May, the coffee hours will be at Trinity Lutheran Church, Welcome.

The Welcome Historical Society Museum will be open the first Saturday in May from 2-4 p.m. May 4. Plan to check out the interesting items at your museum.
