Murder mystery set for March

WELCOME — All the weather delays have curtailed plans for most things in the area. So most of the news is about upcoming events.

n

There will be a Red Cross blood drive from noon to 6 p.m. March 4 at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Welcome. Give the gift of life, give blood.

To make an appointment or for further information, go to www.redcrossblood.org, call (800) 733-2767 or text BLOOD APP to 90999.

n

Relay for Life of Martin County committee and team captains will meet 5:30 p.m. March 4 in the main meeting room at Mayo Clinic Health System in Fairmont.

n

March 6 is Ash Wednesday, the beginning of the Lenten season. Circle of Faith parishes will meet for their service 6:30 p.m. that night at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Ceylon.

n

Township elections and annual meetings will be March 12 so plan to attend the meeting for your township.

n

The murder mystery and fundraiser dinner will be held March 24 at the Welcome Legion.

Get your tickets now from Kim Holm or at the Welcome Legion. Tickets are $50 per person, $180 for a table of four or $270 for a table of six.

There is limited seating as they expect to be sold out like last year.

The menu for the three-course meal is: cashew lettuce salad, smoked beef tenderloins, mashed potatoes, glazed carrots, dessert and beverage.

Local participants in the show are Zach Hanson and Beth Mulso.

It’s a fun way to help with Summer Festival expenses.
