Cribbage play will be held next Saturday in Welcome.

Legion and Sons of the Legion in Welcome will meet 7:30 p.m. Monday at the Legion. All members are urged to attend.

Welcome City Council will meet 6 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall. All members are urged to attend.

There are still old street signs for sale at City Hall for $10.

Tuesday is also the last day to file your candidacy affidavit for the township office of your choice. Contact the clerk of the township.

Condolences to the family of Helen Hartjen who passed away last week. She will be missed.

Upcoming events include:

o A Burger Night fundraiser for the Welcome Summer Festival will be held 5:30-8:30 p.m. Jan. 18 at the Welcome Legion. The menu will include build-a-burgers, onion rings, fresh cut French fries, and cheese curds.

Proceeds will help with expenses for the Summer Festival that is planned for July 20.

The band “IV Play” is scheduled for the festival and extra money is needed for this popular band.

Regular Legion activities are also scheduled, such as the meat raffle.

A special gender reveal is scheduled for the baby of Nathan and Samantha Chuske. Congratulations to the Chuske family.

The Summer Festival committee also will have tickets at the burger night event for the upcoming Murder Mystery Dinner, which will be held March 24. For more information, contact Zach Gerhardt or Kim Holm.
