WELCOME — Due to anticipated inclement weather, the Ceylon Community Day Sale has been postponed until April 21.

The auction will start at 7 a.m. Maps of garage sale sites that can be found around town will be posted under a documents tab listed on the city of Ceylon website, https://cityof-ceylon.com

There will be no Welcome Legion Auxiliary meeting this month. Hopefully, the next meeting will be in May.

Welcome City Council will meet 6 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall. All members are urged to attend. There is always a time for public comment at the beginning of each meeting.

Welcome Historical Society will hold its annual meeting 5 p.m. Wednesday at the Welcome Legion. A potluck supper will be held following the meeting. Anyone wishing to become a member is welcome to join them. Membership dues of $10 may be paid that night.

Two fundraisers with Valero Renewables of Welcome for the Martin County Relay for Life continue through June. Items from “That’s My Pan” will generate money for cancer research. For more information, use the online address www.thatsmypan.biz/ValeroWelcome.

The second fundraiser is in connection with Schwan Cares. Any purchase will generate 20 percent cash back to the Valero Welcome fundraiser for Martin County Relay for Life.
