CEYLON — Ceylon Area Historical Society Museum will be open from 1-3 p.m. today. This is the last of the summer Saturdays scheduled for the museum. They will be open on Aug. 26, in conjunction with

the Summer Festival that day.

Coffee hours during the month of August continue from 8:30-10 a.m. Tuesday at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Sherburn. The public is welcome. Join friends and neighbors for good brew and good fellowship.

Ceylon City Council will meet 6 p.m. Tuesday at Ceylon City Hall. All members are urged to attend.

Ceylon Legion and Sons of the Legion will meet 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Legion/Legends building in Ceylon. All members are encouraged

to attend.

Circle of Faith congregations and area residents are welcome to join Trinity Lutheran Church in Welcome for Wednesday evening services at 6:30 p.m. during the month of August.

Friendly Neighbor Card Club will meet 1:30 p.m. Friday at Goldfinch

Estates in Fairmont. The hostess will be Rosemary Saggau.

Circle Aug. 26 on your calendar and plan to attend the Ceylon Summer Festival that will be held at the park that day. There will be a car, tractor and motorcycle show from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with registration at 9 a.m. The events that day include a petting zoo, bouncy house for the children, flea market, vendor show, and silent

auction for the adults. Performances by Heartsong and Lance Schultz from 5-8 p.m. and a parade during the day with the vehicle show. Proceedings and donations will be used to purchase new playground equipment.
