WELCOME — Tuesday will be the first Tuesday in August. It will also be Aug. 1. The City Council will meet at 6 p.m. at City Hall. All members are urged to attend.

There is always a time for public comments at the beginning of the meeting.

Tuesday Coffee Hours in August will be held 8:30-10 a.m. each Tuesday at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Sherburn. Join your friends and neighbors for good brew and good fellowship.

Wednesday evening services during the month of August will be held 6:30 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Welcome. Circle of Faith congregations and area residents are encouraged to attend.

Welcome Historical Society Museum will be open 2-4 p.m. Aug. 5. Check out the interesting items at the museum. This will be the last date for the museum to be open this summer. The museum will be closed until the first Saturday in April.

Summer Festival Committee would like to thank all the chairpersons and volunteers who made the festival successful this year.

Thank you to all those who attended the events, especially in the heat of that weekend.

A wrap-up meeting will be held in August (after the Martin County Fair).
