Joshua J. Anderson, 24, of Amboy was convicted of operate motor vehicle while under the influence of a controlled substance; fined $610, sentenced to jail 90 days, stayed 46 days for one year, credit for time served 44 days, one year supervised probation, follow all recommendations of the chemical dependency assessment and treatment programs, no mood-altering chemicals, random testing, complete an updated mental health evaluation and follow all recommendations including the use of medications if prescribed, no same or similar, follow all state and federal criminal laws, contact probation agent within 72 hours if charged with a new crime; are in contact with law enforcement; if change address, employment, or telephone number, cooperate with search of person, residence, vehicle, workplace, property, etc. by probation officer, sign releases of information as directed. Also convicted of fifth-degree controlled substance-not small amount of marijuana; sentenced to jail 365 days, stayed 321 days for one year, credit for time served 44 days, one year supervised probation, follow all recommendations of the chemical dependency assessment and treatment programs, no mood-altering chemicals, random testing, complete an updated mental health evaluation and follow all recommendations, obtain permission from agent before leaving the state, follow all state and federal criminal laws, contact probation agent within 72 hours if charged with a new crime; are in contact with law enforcement; if change address, employment, or telephone number, cooperate with search of person, residence, vehicle, workplace, property, etc. by probation officer, sign releases of information as directed, don’t use or possess firearms, ammunition or explosives if prohibited by law. Additional charge of possession of drug paraphernalia-use prohibited was dismissed.

Larry E. Carlson, 60, of Wells was convicted of fourth-degree driving while impaired; fined $610, sentenced to jail 90 days, stayed 60 days for one year, credit for time served three days, one year supervised probation, follow all recommendations of the chemical dependency assessment, attend MADD impact panel, no mood-altering chemicals including alcohol, follow all state and federal criminal laws, contact probation agent within 72 hours if charged with a new crime; are in contact with law enforcement; if change address, employment, or telephone number, cooperate with search of person, residence, vehicle, workplace, property, etc. by probation officer, sign releases of information as directed, don’t use or possess firearms, ammunition or explosives if prohibited by law. Also convicted of driving after cancellation-inimical to public safety; sentenced to jail 365 days, stayed 335 days for one year, credit for time served three days, one year supervised probation, follow all recommendations of the chemical dependency assessment, attend MADD impact panel, no mood-altering chemicals including alcohol, random testing, follow all state and federal criminal laws, contact probation agent within 72 hours if charged with a new crime; are in contact with law enforcement; if change address, employment, or telephone number, cooperate with search of person, residence, vehicle, workplace, property, etc. by probation officer, sign releases of information as directed, don’t use or possess firearms, ammunition or explosives if prohibited by law. Additional charges of failure to carry proof of insurance, and failure to wear seat belt while in a motor vehicle, were both dismissed.
