Katty J. Paz, 25, of Fairmont was convicted of failure of driver to carry proof of insurance when operating a vehicle; fined $200. Also convicted of expiration of drivers license-person over 21; fined $185. Also convicted of drivers license instruction permit violation-persons 18 years or older; fined $50.

Mindy S. Nagel, 39, of Blue Earth was convicted of third-degree driving while impaired-one aggravating factor; fined $865, sentenced to jail 365 days, stayed 362 days for two years, credit for time served three days, two years supervised probation, complete chemical assessment, follow all recommendations of evaluation, no alcohol/controlled substance use with the exception of prescribed medications, random testing, attend MADD impact panel, obtain permission from agent before leaving the state, follow all state and federal criminal laws, contact probation agent within 72 hours if charged with a new crime; are in contact with law enforcement; if change address, employment, or telephone number, cooperate with search of person, residence, vehicle, workplace, property, etc. by probation officer, sign releases of information as directed, don’t use or possess firearms, ammunition or explosives if prohibited by law. Additional charges of no drivers license in possession or fail to display upon request, and failure of driver to carry proof of insurance when operating a vehicle, were both dismissed.

Elizabeth A. Steenhard, 39, of Blue Earth was convicted of third-degree driving while impaired-one aggravating factor; fined $865, sentenced to jail 365 days, stayed 335 days for two years, credit for time served two days, serve 28 days on electronic home monitoring with alco-sensor at defendant’s expense, must setup by 7/12/19, two years supervised probation, sentence to service two days for indeterminate, follow the Rule 25 chemical dependency assessment and follow recommendations of evaluation, complete the 12-session Drive with Care program, no mood-altering chemicals including alcohol, random testing, attend MADD impact panel and pay assigned fees, obtain permission from agent before leaving the state, follow all state and federal criminal laws, contact probation agent within 72 hours if charged with a new crime; are in contact with law enforcement; if change address, employment, or telephone number, cooperate with search of person, residence, vehicle, workplace, property, etc. by probation officer, sign releases of information as directed, don’t use or possess firearms, ammunition or explosives if prohibited by law. Additional charge of second-degree driving while impaired-two or more aggravating factors was dismissed.
