Kiss the Pig Fundraiser
Kiss the Pig Fundraiser will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 16 at St. James Lutheran Church (SJL) in Northrop. Gary Luhmann and Alan Wille are putting their lips on the line for Lutheran education. Guests may vote for who they want to see kiss the pig by donating in advance or on the day of the event. Whoever raises the most money gets to kiss the pig during a pork meal at noon on Nov. 16. Voting can be completed at sjlnorthrop.com or mailing donations to St. James Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 315, Northrop, MN 56075. All funds raised will support SJL School.
Play Café brewing at the library
Play Café will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 18, at the Martin County Library in Fairmont. Enjoy playtime that encourages growth and learning for children ages zero to five and their caregivers. Teen/Tween After Hours at the library
Teen/Tween After Hours will be from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 18, at the Martin County Library in Fairmont. Food and activities will be available for children in grades 5 and up. For additional information, contact the Martin County Library in Fairmont at (507) 238-4207.
FHS 7-12 Band Concert
The Fairmont High School (FHS) Grade 7 to 12 Band Concert will be at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 18, at the Performing Arts Center at FHS.
Fairmont Human Rights to sell fudge, caramel
Fairmont Area Human Rights is selling nine varieties of fudge in half-pound boxes or 10 caramels in a box until Nov. 20. The fudge will be available after Dec. 13. To place an order, contact Pat Kietzer at (507) 848-5017 or contact a Fairmont Area Human Rights member.
Fairmont Service Club to meet
Fairmont Service Club will have it’s weekly meeting at noon on Tuesday, Nov. 18 at the Best Western in Fairmont. The speaker will be Pharmacy Manager Jake Reuter of Sterling Drug pharmacy in Fairmont. The public is welcome to attend. For additional information, contact Marlys Rodgers.
