Poppies with American Legion
A community poppy-making event with the American Legion Auxiliary Post 82 of Winnebago will be from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sunday, July 20 at the Winnebago Municipal Center. The Auxiliary members will make poppies and adults and students are welcome to join. Water and treats will be served.
Wednesday coffee at the Chubb House
The historic Chubb House in Fairmont is open from 10 a.m. to noon on Wednesday (date) for coffee and more. Stop in to learn more about the first and only brick home in Martin County, and the man who built it in 1867 for his family, Dr. Orville P. Chubb. Get acquainted with Fairmont’s rich history and the volunteers who have worked hard to preserve this building. Healthy Weigh Support Group
The Healthy Weigh weight-loss support group will meet at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesdays at Shepherd of the Lakes Lutheran Church in Fairmont. An optional weigh-in will be from 5 to 5:30 p.m.
Wednesday Community Worship at the Park
Grace Lutheran Church will host Wednesday Community Worship at the Park at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesdays at the Sylvania Park Bandshell. Rain or shine. Messages each week from a variety of local pastors and community members. All are welcome.
FACT presents All Shook Up
The Fairmont Opera House (FOH) Fairmont Area Community Theater (FACT) presents, “All Shook Up”. Performances will be at 7 p.m. on July 24, 25, 26, and Aug, 1, and at 2 p.m. on July 27 and Aug. 2 and 3. Tickets can be purchased from the www.fairmontoperahouse.org.
Open tennis

Artastic expression at Sherburn library

Storytime at area libraries
Storytime will be at 3 p.m. on July 23 at the Truman City Library and Trimont City Library. Color Me Storytime will be at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 24 at the Sherburn Library.
K-4 fun at Fairmont library
Fun activities for children in grades kindergarten to fourth will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 12 at the Martin County Library in Fairmont. There is no cost to attend. Registration is not required. For additional information, contact the Martin County Library in Fairmont at (507) 238-4207.
Heritage Acres to meet
Heritage Acres will meet at 6 p.m. on Thursday, July 24 at the Prairieville Building on Lake Avenue. President Glenn Becker will introduce all new officers. After a light dinner, secretary and treasurer reports will be read. Becker will lead a discussion of job and food needs for Threshing Day on Aug. 10. All members and the public are welcome to attend.
