Fairmont blood drive slated today
The American Red Cross will hold a Fairmont community blood drive from 12:30-6:30 p.m. today, June 6, noon to 6 p.m. Wednesday, June 7 and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, June 8, at the Best Western in Fairmont. For appointments, call 1-800-733-2767 or go online at www.redcrossblood.org. Blood donors of all types are needed as blood is in demand.
Early Risers set Wednesday meeting
Early Risers Kiwanis Club of Fairmont will meet 6:45 a.m. Wednesday, June 7, at the Ranch Restaurant, Fairmont. Featured speaker will be Matt Baker, associate pastor at Bethel Evangelical Free Church in Fairmont. The public is invited.
Class of 1962 to meet
Fairmont High School class of 1962, spouses and friends, will meet for lunch 11:30 a.m. Thursday, June 8, at the Pizza Ranch in Fairmont. All classmates are encouraged to attend.
Pop Art Portraits Thursday at Fairmont Library
Join library staff for Pop Art Portraits from 2-4 p.m. Thursday, June 8, at the Fairmont Library, 110 N. Park St. in Fairmont. Registration is required, as space is limited. Visit their website to sign-up or call the library at (507) 238-4207. Create a painted pop art portrait of yourself or a pet. Photos must be submitted by May 31, so either drop off at the library or email to chasek@tds.lib.mn.us.

Aktion Club Theatre meets Thursday

Fairmont Area Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual golf outing beginning 1 p.m. Friday, June 9, at Rose Lake Golf Club east of Fairmont. Make sure to register your team ASAP. Lots of golf, food and fun.
