Service Club to hold meeting Tuesday

Fairmont Service Club will meet noon Tuesday at the Best Western in Fairmont. The program this week will feature Cathy Reynolds, City Administrator for the City of Fairmont. Church plans free meal on Wednesday

First Congregational United Church of Christ in Fairmont will offer a free community meal beginning 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 26 at their church located at 319 Downtown Plaza in Fairmont. They will serve a meal consisting of chicken pot pie, mashed potatoes, mandarin oranges and bottled water. This will be a drive through pick up meal in the alley behind the church. Everyone is welcome.

Anthony Carr of Blue Earth and Madison Boyd of Fairmont were named to the president’s list for the 2021 fall semester at Riverland Community College in Austin.

The following area students were named to the dean’s list for the 2021 fall semester at Riverland Community College in Austin: Blue Earth — Bryan Garcia Enriquez, Madison Glanzman; Elmore — Leona Fuller; Thompson — Ashley Alphs.

Grace Mensing of Blue Earth was named to the dean’s list for the 2021 fall semester at the University of Iowa in Iowa City.

Meagan Reischl of Fairmont recently graduated and was awarded an Associate’s Degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences in Dec. 2021, from Iowa Lakes Community College in Estherville, Iowa.
