Spice of Life Meeting to Feature

Having fun together for caregivers and their care partner is not an everyday happening in a world of medical appointments and health concerns. And yet, its’ a needed time together. The CREST “Spice of Life” program is open to all caregivers/care partners whether you are registered with CREST or not. It features a fun activity you can do together, a perfect way to add spice to your lives with fun and good food in one afternoon. “Spice of Life” will take place 1-3 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 21 at the CREST office, which is located at 820 Winnebago Avenue in Fairmont. This month will feature Halloween activities. You will enjoy coffee, a snack, laughter, and a time to relax and visit with others. There is no charge for this event, but reservations are encouraged by calling the CREST office at 235-3833.

Norhtrop fall and rummage bake sale starts Thursday

The Fall and Rummage Bake Sale will be held at Martin Luther High School, Northrop on Thursday, Oct. 21 from 4-8 p.m.; Friday, Oct. 22 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.; and Saturday, Oct. 23 from 8 a.m. to noon. Volunteer workers are appreciated to help from set up on Saturday, October 16 until take-down on Saturday. Donations of good fall and winter clothing, household items etc are appreciated also. Mission Possible Benefit KNIGHT tickets available now

Tickets are available now for The Mission Possible Benefit KNIGHT at Martin Luther High School, Northrop on Saturday, November 13th. 1990 Alum Ryan Hall, Assistant Fire Chief at West Des Moines, IA will be the guest speaker. Christian comedian and illusionist Will McDaniel will entertain with a show entitled “Laugh at Life–It’s an Illusion!”. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for a 7:00 show. A cheesecake bar will be served. Tickets are $30 each and must be purchased in advance. They are available from the MLHS office, some church offices or online at www.martinlutherhs.com. *Veterans receive a free ticket. Everyone is invited to attend this important benefit for the MLHS Ministry.

American Legion to meet

Fairmont American Legion will meet 8 a.m. Monday at the Blazer Hall.

The Fairmont Service Club will meet Tuesday, Oct. 19th at noon, over lunch, at the Holiday Inn. Our speaker will be Matt Mahoney, Fairmont High School Athletic Director and Head Football Coach.
