Free drive-thru meals planed

United Methodist Church plans free drive-thru meals 5-6 p.m. Sept 8 & 15. Please drive up to the south entrance of the church on 2nd St. Menu for 9/8/21 is Scalloped Potatoes & Ham. Menu for 9/15/21 is Taco Mac Casserole. Everyone is welcome.

Patriot’s Day Grill Out

Hy-Vee in Fairmont, Minn., will be hosting their 2nd Annual Patriot’s Day Grill Out 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday. They will serve a FREE meal for all of our Service men and women, Police, Fire Rescue, EMT’s and Healthcare Professionals. All are welcome to purchase a meal for $5. Proceeds will benefit the CER of Fairmont, Minn.

Remembrance Processional Parade Saturday

For the 20 year anniversary of 911 there will be a Remembrance Processional Parade 9 a.m. Saturday, in Fairmont, MN. Tam Plumhoff (MCBTYR) and Rev. Cory Germain (National Guard Chaplain and Legion Honor Guard) are planning this event. Our vision is for this parade to be a revenant and honorable event with silence, no sirens, no floats, and no candy. Parade line up will be at 8:30 a.m. at the Fairmont National Guard Armory, 9 a.m. gather at National Guard Armory’s flag pole with Pledge of Allegiance, 9:11 a.m. parade begins. Parade route is as follows: Lake Avenue, 4th Street, N North Avenue, Winnebago Avenue to the Veteran Memorial Wall.

At 9:45 a.m. we will gather at the Martin County Veteran Memorial’s Flag for the Lord’s Prayer and National Anthem. All are welcome to attend.
