Sherburn indoor pool to reopen Monday

The Martin County West indoor swimming pool at the elementary school in Sherburn will reopen Monday with limited hours and activities. Golf classic slated Aug. 3 in Fairmont

The 19th annual “Golf Fore the Kids” event benefiting Martin County Youth for Christ is still scheduled to take place. Because of the COVID-19 crisis, the date has been set for Aug. 3 at Interlaken Golf Course in Fairmont. This will be a four-person best ball event. The schedule of events will be check-in and lunch from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; a golf clinic at 12:30 p.m.; shotgun start for the golf tourney at 1 p.m.; shotgun start for nine-hole golfers; and a banquet and awards ceremony at 5:30 p.m. Deadline to register is July 27.
