Worship Center plans breakfast

Regional Worship Center in Sherburn will host a pancakes, eggs and coffee breakfast from 8-10 a.m. Monday at the facility located at 2 Crossroads Dr. in Sherburn. Donations accepted. Everyone is invited.

Prairie Star Quilters to hold meeting

Prairie Star Quilt Guild will meet Monday at Fairmont Evangelical Covenant Church, 901 Woodland Ave., Fairmont. The guild board will meet at 12:30 p.m., with the regular membership meeting beginning 1:30 p.m. During the meeting, the new owner of the Old Alley Quilt Shop in Sherburn will introduce herself and talk about what she has planned for new ownership. The evening group will meet at 5:30 p.m. Membership is open to anyone who enjoys quilting. Quilters of all skill levels are welcome. For more information, contact Carolyn Seidel at (507) 848-0481.

Tax preparation offered in Fairmont

AARP TaxAide will provide free income tax preparation beginning Feb. 11 at St. Martin’s Episcopal Church, 202 N. Park St., Fairmont. They will be open 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. The office will be closed if Fairmont schools are closed. An appointment is required. Please call (507) 230-4400 during their office hours.
