St. John Vianney plans Sunday meal

A free hot meal hosted by St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Fairmont will be held 6 p.m. Sunday in the hospitality area at the church. The church serves a free meal the fourth Sunday of every month. Everyone is welcome.

Blood drive scheduled in Bricelyn

A blood drive will be held 12:30-6:30 p.m. Monday at the Bricelyn Community Center, 309 N. Main St., in Bricelyn. Donors of all blood types are welcome. To make an appointment to donate, call (800) 733-2767, visit RedCrossBlood.org or download the Red Cross Blood Donor App.

College News

The following area students were named to the dean’s list for the 2019 fall semester at Rochester Community and Technical College in Rochester: Blue Earth — Carla Leyva, Braydon Wayner; Butterfield — Olivia Fredin; Fairmont — Mitchell Prafke; Lakefield — Emily Paplow; Sherburn — Parker Anderson.

Abigail Fitzgerald of Fairmont graduated and was awarded a bachelor’s degree summa cum laude in December at Morningside College in Sioux City, Iowa.
