Martin Luther to sponsor history event

The public is invited to a free historical experience on Monday at Martin Luther High School in Northrop. Historian Arn Kind will present “American Revolution and the Continental Soldier,” bringing history to life. Presentation times are: students in grades 5-8 ­- 9 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.; students in grades 9-12 – noon to 2:15 p.m. Adults are invited any time. The event is free and is sponsored by the MLHS Parent/Teacher League.

Hospital retirees to hold lunch

Fairmont Community Hospital retirees will meet for lunch 11 a.m. Monday at Green Mill Restaurant, Fairmont. All persons who worked and retired from the hospital in Fairmont are invited to attend.

Library to host Sweet Treats and Reads

Children in grades 3-6 are invited to Sweet Treats and Reads at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Martin County Library, Fairmont. There will be treats, book-related activities and talk about new books that everyone is reading or excited to read. This event is free and no registration is required.

Courtney Mosloski of Fairmont has been named to the dean’s list for the 2019 fall semester at the University of Jamestown in Jamestown, N.D.

Molly Brinkman of Jackson was named to the dean’s list for the 2019 fall semester at Mount Marty College in Yankton, S.D.
