Woodcarving group to meet

CER Woodcarving group will meet 7 p.m. Tuesday in the art room at Fairmont Elementary School, 714 Victoria St., Fairmont. Park on the south side of the building and use the CER office door. There is no charge. New and experienced carvers are welcome.

First Congregational plans free meal

First Congregational United Church of Christ will host a free meal 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at the church, 319 Downtown Plaza, Fairmont. The meal will consist of friendship casserole, pasta salad and dessert. Everyone is invited.
