Library to host ‘Turkey Takeover’

Join library staff for a Turkey Takeover event geared for children, ages 6-10, at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Martin County Library, 110 N. Park St. in Fairmont. The kids will be able to recreate edible masterpieces. This event is free and open to the public. With questions, call the library in Fairmont at (507) 238-4207.

Upcoming bowl-a-thon planned

A muscular dystrophy bowl-a-thon will be held at noon Dec. 8 at Bowlmor Lanes, Fairmont. Four-person teams ($20 per person) will bowl three games of 9 pin, no-tap. Shoe rental not included. There will be raffles, prizes and cash payback. For registration, contact Cory or Tyler at Fareway in Fairmont by calling (507) 238-4737. Everyone is invited.
