Class of 1964 to meet on Friday

Fairmont High School class of 1964 will meet 11:30 a.m. Friday at the Pizza Ranch, Fairmont.

‘Just Open the Door’ slated in East Chain

“Just Open the Door,” a women’s event, will be held 9-11 a.m. Saturday at East Chain Evangelical Free Church, 507 280th Ave., rural East Chain. It will highlight the book by Jen Schmidt entitled “Just Open the Door,” which is about hospitality. A light breakfast will be served and the book will be available. There is a $10 fee. To reserve a seat, email eastchain@eastchain.com. All area women are invited to attend.

Fundraiser event slated in Blue Earth

A fundraiser event to support the senior lunch program will be held 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday at Blue Earth Senior Center, 118 W. Seventh St., in Blue Earth. There will be a baked potato bar, hot soup and desserts for a donation. A bake sale also will be held. All proceeds will help provide support to this service for senior citizens. The public is invited.
