Fairmont High School class of 1960, spouses and friends will meet for lunch 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Pizza Ranch, Fairmont.

3M employees past and present will meet for lunch noon Tuesday at Green Mill Restaurant, Fairmont.

People First to hold Tuesday meeting

People First will hold its monthly meeting 4-5 p.m. Tuesday at Pizza Ranch in Fairmont. Anyone needing a ride or who has questions about People First may call Pat Kietzer at (507) 848-5017.

Blue Earth Area to hold conferences

Parent-student-teacher conferences for students in grades 8-12 will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday in the commons at Blue Earth Area High School. There will also be a Parent Advisory meeting 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the media center after the conferences. A list of topics will be shared before the meeting. Those with topics they would like to discuss may email Mr. Ewing at gewing@blueearth.k12.mn.us

Legion Auxiliary sets Tuesday meeting

Fairmont American Legion Auxiliary Unit 36 will meet 7 p.m. Tuesday at Goldfinch Estates in Fairmont. All members and anyone interested in the auxiliary are invited.

CREST to host balance class

CREST will present the class “A Matter of Balance” from 9:30-11:30 a.m. Tuesdays, beginning Oct. 8 and concluding Nov. 26, at the CREST office located at 820 Winnebago Ave., Fairmont. This eight-session class is designed to reduce the fear of falling and increase activity levels among older adults. It includes an exercise program, identifying fears and finding options for overcoming them. They also will check homes for safety/falling issues. Anyone having concerns about falling or wanting to improve their balance, flexibility and strength is invited to attend. Registration is required in order to provide the needed materials and a $10 donation is suggested to help cover the costs. Registration deadline is Oct. 4.
