Town & Country Players offer production

Blue Earth Town and Country Players will present its 43rd summer musical, Rodger and Hammerstein’s “Once Upon a Mattress,” at 7:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Performing Arts Center at Blue Earth Area High School. Tickets are $10 and may be purchased at the door before each performance. All seats are general admission. Town & Country Players patrons will have received their tickets by mail and will be admitted to the auditorium before the general public. Children 12 and under will be admitted for $5 to either of the matinees. All are welcome.

Maday benefit scheduled for Saturday

A benefit for Malcolm Maday, son of David and Bethany Maday, will be held Saturday at Ghost Town Tavern in Imogene. A free will donation pork burger meal will be served from 5 p.m. until the food is gone. A silent auction will be open from 5-7 p.m., with musical entertainment by Mark Johnson from 7-11 p.m. Maday was born with a rare liver mutation. He had a liver transplant April 25, and will continue to have doctor appointments and medications. All funds raised will help the Maday family cover medical expenses. Donations also may be sent to Bank Midwest in Fairmont in Malcolm Maday’s name.

Schultz reunion planned Sunday in Fairmont

Schultz family reunion will be noon Sunday at Gomsrud Park in Fairmont. Those attending are asked to bring their own eating utensils and plates as well as a dish to pass. All family members are invited.

Malorie Thompson of Elmore has been named to the president’s list for the 2019 spring semester at Minnesota State College Southeast in Winona.
