Uptown Kiwanis plans fundraiser

As a club fundraiser for the Kiwanis baseball project, the Fairmont Uptown Kiwanis Club will sell hot dogs, chips, pop and water beginning at 5 p.m. Tuesday at the Fairmont Elementary School ball diamonds. In case of rain, the event will be held July 11. Everyone is welcome.

St. Paul’s in Truman plans lunch fundraiser

The ladies of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Truman invites everyone (men included) to a salad luncheon from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday in the basement at their church located at 110 E. 4th St. N. in Truman. There will be more than 40 different kinds of salads, something for everyone. The cost is $8 for adults and reduced for children. Take out containers will be available. There is a lift available for those unable to use the steps into the basement.
